Darya was born and raised in the city of Blagoveshchensk, Amur Region, which borders China (Heilongjiang Province) along the Amur River. In 2005, she entered the Department of Regional Studies of China at the Faculty of International Relations of Amur State University. Her first trip to China took place in 2006 for a short-term summer course in Dalian University of Finance and Economics. In 2010, after graduating from university, she went to study at Harbin University of Technology, where she later stayed for 3 years. For 10 years she has worked as a translator, English teacher, and hotel manager in China in cities such as Meizhou, Wenzhou, Yiwu, Nanchang and so on. In 2020, she started as a Chinese language teacher for Russian speakers. In 2021, Darya passed HSK 6 and received the qualification “Chinese language teacher.” Currently she teaches Chinese from scratch, and also prepares students to take the HSK exam for admission to universities in China. Her focus is on Russian speaking regions, recruiting students and promoting program materials.
